Fashion brands are reaching Gen Z by engaging in political topics.

Oct 05 2020

Fashion brands are reaching Gen Z by engaging in political topics. Previously, fashion brands remained quiet on hot button issues, but 2020 has brought a newfound reckoning that has many speaking out to strengthen “the relationships with customers and employees.” Recently, apparel brands from Ralph Lauren to Warby Parker are teaming up with “get-out-the vote” platforms, or finding creative ways to encourage young voters to get involved. While speaking out can bring about a different kind of criticism from some consumers, including savvy young consumers sniffing out “inauthentic or pandering messages,” brands don’t want to be accused of complacency.
