Cue the “Gen Z Mafia,” a group of teens who are connecting with other young people looking to break into the tech industry. To join, interested members have to fill out an application as a “formality.” Through the community, teens are creating tools that protect people from harassment on Twitter, building bulletin boards like vibes.fyi, which “spread positivity,” and developing Cloakview.ai, which is an effort to “outsmart” Clearview AI’s facial recognition system.
