Young people are saying goodbye to “Instagram Face” and embracing natural beauty.

Sep 01 2020

Young people are saying goodbye to “Instagram Face” and embracing natural beauty. YPulse found that 66% of 13-39-year-old females say they have been wearing less makeup since the Coronavirus crisis began, and that the majority say they are more comfortable not wearing it now. An appreciation for more natural beauty has been emerging, and “will affect everything from how we take our Botox to the way skin care is formulated.” Cosmetics brands like Too Faced are adapting to the newfound preferences by shelving “party ready” products and instead emphasizing products “that allow you to be the best version of yourself.” More low-key looks were already gaining more popularity before COVID, as the intensification of wellness regimes seeped into beauty preferences—and helped skin care to boom.
