Half of young consumers “don’t know how they’d get through life” without video.According to a Google survey, video is an important part of Gen Z and Millennials’ life with 78% of respondents saying they had watched YouTube in the last 24 hours. This generation of viewers grew up on YouTube, after all. Wanting to relax and unwind is the top reason they’re watching content on the site, but learning something or exploring their interests are also draws.
