This year, fashion and beauty brands will invest in even more influencers. Influencer marketing isn’t going anywhere and as it continues to evolve—especially after Instagram’s new feature of removing likes—influencer agencies are diversifying their strategies. Revolve reports that influencer marketing drove 70% of its 2019 sales, and brands like Sephora, Aerie, Nasty Gal, Shopbop, and even Amazon have invested in programs that work with brand ambassadors and create influencer partnerships. YPulse found that 84% of 13-to-36-year-olds trust online celebrities and influencers them on the topic of beauty and makeup, and 83% trust them with fashion. (Glossy)
