Instagram’s messaging app Threads isn’t stealing away Snapchat’s young users, according to early data. When the app launched, Snapchat’s stocks took a hit, but Apptopia reports that less than .1% of Instagram’s users downloaded Threads in its first week. It could be that there are already too many messaging apps on the market, and that young users are content with the ones they are already on: According to YPulse’s social media monitor, over half of 13-37-year-olds use Facebook Messenger, and half report using Snapchat.
