Teens that see Snapchat ads for CPG products are influencing their primary household shoppers to add the items to their carts. NCSolutions and Snap Inc. analyzed 19 CPG campaigns on the platform from 32 brands to find that 62% of all Snapchat ad-influenced sales were caused by “household influencers,” rather than the family member with the funds. One Snapchat exec translates that as “the first quantitative research to show Gen Z’s influence on CPG purchasing as a direct result of being exposed to ads.” (Yahoo! Finance)
