YouTube is launching a separate website just for kids. Advocates for kids’ online privacy have complained about the fact that, unless you use the app, the kids’ section of YouTube lives on the main site. In addition to moving the Kids section to a standalone site, the app is undergoing a tweak, splitting it up into three age categories instead of two to better serve age-appropriate content. YouTube announced both of these changes in an understated way, making some wonder if these are responses to the FTC complaint filed against the platform. (Fast Company)
