More brands are tapping the YouTube trend that gives viewers tingles—autonomous sensory meridian response—and now McDonald’s is getting on board. Their new series of infinitely cycling GIFs uses 3D animation to show the creation of an Egg McMuffin, from perfectly sliced meats to gently folding cheese slices and softly bouncing eggs. The clips can be viewed on a standalone site or compiled into one YouTube video, and one Facebook post sharing the “world of softness” generated 3.5 million impressions and 120,000 site visits.
