Disneyland’s attendance dip is being blamed on Gen Z’s lack of love for Star Wars. The new Star Wars section of the park opened at the end of May, but Disney reports they saw a 2% fall in attendance for the quarter—instead of the expected spike. However, there are other factors at work here: a price hike for the special section along with hotels hiking rates in anticipation of its opening could be deterring bargain-loving young consumers who—by the way—still show up to Star Wars movies in droves.
