Facebook could be working on a voice assistant to compete with Amazon’s Alexa and Apple’s Siri. The feature is in early stages but could potentially be paired with Portal smart speakers or Oculus headsets. Right now, a Portal device allows owners to initiate video calls via Facebook Messenger, but relies on Alexa for more complex tasks.
