Facebook’s teen app for scrolling memes has (already) been shut down. The latest in a string of attempts from Facebook to win over the young demo that’s been leaving their main platform in droves didn’t make it past its test run. The app LOL was reportedly called “cringey” and featured weeks-old meme content (an eternity in Internet time). Facebook’s youth team has been redirected from working on LOL to focusing their efforts on Messenger Kids. (Mashable)
