Clothing still has a long way to go towards becoming gender neutral, according to Gucci. Their biannual report of found that 13-24-year-olds feel gender neutral clothing today is just boys’ clothing. One 20-year-old explains that a woman can dress masculine “without it alluding to her sexuality” while “Seeing feminine males is triggering for consumers.” Respondents also added that products shouldn’t be unnecessarily gendered—which our Genreless Generation report agrees with.
