Gross-out toys’ ability to elicit a fun-to-watch reaction from popular YouTubers is behind the rise of the toy trend. Mattel, Spin Master, and Hasbro have all released poop-themed toys, with the latter saying that sales of their Don’t Step In It game tripled from September to October.
