Video games aren’t just for boys. Teen girls’ interest in gaming is growing, too. Kids Insight found that teen girls ranked gaming as one of their top ten hobbies, while about the same percentage of 13-15-year-old boys and girls said they participate in esports. However, girls were far less likely than boys to rank gaming as their favorite activity, at just 3%. And while boys’ interest in esports spikes at age 16, girls’ plateaus. (The Guardian)
