Rent the Runway is expanding to include more than just high-end brands. Instead of the platform purchasing the clothing like they typically do, Levi’s, Hunter, and are offering their pieces as part of a mutually beneficial partnership. The new brands get marketing, can expand their reach, and can sell colorful, embellished pieces that shoppers are typically too timid to purchase permanently. Club Monaco’s CEO doesn’t think closets will become completely digital though; instead, “we’ll see more brands reconciling the integration of both shopping approaches.” (Fast Company)
