Social media giants are searching for new revenue streams as North American user growth hits its limit. Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat have all stopped adding new users in the U.S. and Canada, their most valuable markets. North American users generate more revenue each than in Europe, far outstripping users in the Asia-Pacific region—platforms’ fastest-growing segment today.
