Netflix declared that yesterday was #StrangerThingsDay, and brands did not let the marketing opportunity pass them by. The Millennial and Gen Z-favorite show isn’t coming back until next year, but November 6 was the day that the main character went missing in the first season. Universal Orlando Resort extended their Halloween Horror Nights by one day for a special Stranger Things-themed experience, while Target promoted show-inspired merch and released a special edition-DVD of the series made to resemble a VHS. Funko, Hot Topic, and Eggo (of course) also jumped in with their own promos. (AListDaily)
