Haunted houses are getting an Instagrammable makeover this Halloween. At Nightmare Machine, you can expect to find fewer scares but more neon signs and better lighting. Young consumers can pose in red ball pits or with grave stones that read “All My Haters” or “Died from not forwarding that text message to 10 people.” The not-so-scary experience is a seasonal spin-off of Dream Machine, a pop-up that attracted 75,000 visitors to its temporary run earlier this year.
