Millennial-friendly companies might have a huge design problem. It turns out that pineapples, sans serif fonts, and pastel colors aren’t the right fit for every startup. But when design is dictated by a few studios funded by few venture capitalists, every product from erectile dysfunction pills to leggings gets the same look. Surface Media’s CEO sums up why that’s a problem: “…if [Millennials] keep seeing unimaginative and repetitive plays on the same colors and fonts and logos, they’re going to start rolling their eyes.” (Surface)
