The U.S. Army needs a new catchphrase because “Army Strong” isn’t working for Millennials. The slogan has been in circulation for a decade, but now the military branch is struggling to bring in enough 18-24-year-old recruits and thinks it’s time for a rebrand that “tells more of a story.” Part of the reason is it’s not working could be that “Army Strong” has become the “frequent butt of jokes and memes.” However, the U.S. Army isn’t alone in their struggle to reel in new recruits; the U.S. Navy has also been shuffling through slogans, hoping to land on one that resonates.
