A study just showed that junk food advertisements really do work on teens. Cancer Research U.K. found that 11-19-year-olds who were exposed to an extra ad about junk food each week ate 350 more calories weekly. All of the participants could recall a fast food or junk food ad they had seen and 40% “felt pressured to eat unhealthy.” While health and wellness are trending, obesity continues to plague teens—and it looks like ads are adding to the problem.
