Mark Zuckerberg is playing matchmaker, adding dating features to Facebook. He recently announced at F8, the platform’s annual conference, that a dating section for the Facebook app is in the works and it’s not “just for hookups.” The offering will be opt-in only, will have “privacy and safety in mind from the beginning,” and will let users connect with others via Tinder-style selection and by attending events. Considering Ypulse data shows 27% of 18-35-year-olds have used a dating app, there’s room to compete against Tinder and other major dating sites. (Business Insider)
