Dressing like a dad is the fashion “trend du jour.” Retro, looser-fitting styles are taking over the men’s section from Silicon Valley-style sneakers to slim (not skinny) jeans in lighter washes. Some other trends that have been spotted: Dad hats (which women are wearing too), loud floral Hawaiian shirts (not just sold at Tommy Bahamas anymore), and even windbreakers. The trend is “an offshoot of normcore,” and can be seen both on the Balenciaga runway and on re-runs of Home Improvement. (WSJ, Business Insider)
