U.K. police are warning teens not to participate in the Ikea Sleepover Challenge, which is exactly what it sounds like. The viral internet challenge first trended in 2016 when two teens posted their one-night stay at Ikea on YouTube; since then, more teens have taken on the challenge, much to Ikea’s chagrin. One teen went missing this week in order to complete the challenge, a stunt which brought renewed attention to the trend. Ikea warns that not only are unauthorized sleepovers against their policy, but “heavy stock” and “the potential risk of faults and fires” make them dangerous. (Mashable)
