Toys ‘R’ Us is planning to close about 20% of its stores. Underwhelming holiday seasonal sales turned out to be the last straw for the recently-bankrupt retailer, so they’re shuttering 180 locations from February to April. Toys ‘R’ Us has struggled to lure time-strapped young parents away from one-stop shops like Target and to bring their online experience up to speed to compete with the likes of Amazon.
