Marvel’s new franchise brings together a diverse cast of superheroes. Post-Diversity Tipping Point, consumers are demanding inclusivity from every industry, from the toy aisle to the small screen. The new Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors cast of characters featuring female leads is another move by Marvel to answer their demands, adding onto their Star Wars Forces of Destiny brand which “celebrate[s] Star Wars heroines.” The franchise will roll out with a series of digital shorts, followed by a feature film in 2018.
