Over three-quarters of Millennials think renting is more affordable than buying, up more than ten percent year over year. Despite that, a report from Freddie Mac finds that why Millennials (and other generations) are sometimes choosing to rent instead of buy is driven by lifestyle. The top reason they would rather rent is “convenience and flexibility,” followed by a recent move. Don’t worry though; despite rising housing costs, Millennials picking avocado toast over purchasing houses is just a myth. (WSJ)
