Nearly eight in ten teens have a smartphone, and they use it for just about everything. eMarketer estimates that this year, 78.9% of 12-17-year-olds will own a smartphone, and Ypulse data shows it jumps to 90% for 13-17-year-olds. A YouGov survey also found that almost four in ten 13-17-year-olds “could not make it through a single day” without their devices. One reason Gen Z teens might be so “very attached” are social networks, especially “camera-centric platforms.” (eMarketer)
