Millennials are better savers than Boomers, though both generations could do better. According to a recent survey from Bankrate.com, 72% of Millennials have savings, compared to 64% of Boomers. Though more Millennials have some form of savings, Boomers are much more likely to have six months’ worth put away. The good news: more Americans have some savings than when Bankrate started the survey seven years ago. The catch: 24% are still living month to month, with nothing saved for emergencies or retirement. (CNBC, Time)
