Netflix is introducing its first “Choose Your Adventure” series, creating a new kind of streaming content. Two years in the making, Netflix is ready to change kids’ TV with an interactive “Puss in Boots” episode. While watching, kids will be given choices that branch the story into separate narratives, and select their story path using their remote or their fingers on touchscreens. Because the show can vary so much, the episode ranges in length from 18 to 39 minutes. Netflix’s first foray into non-traditional TV won’t be its last: another interactive tale comes out next month.
