YouTube is the reigning champ of commanding teens’ attention, but Netflix isn’t far behind. A new study reports that teens spend the lion’s share of their time watching video on YouTube (34%) followed by Netflix (27%). (Ypulse’s the Binge Effect research found that about two-thirds of all 13-17-year-olds prefer to binge watch on Netflix, which could account for some of that time.) In last place: Amazon and Hulu at 4% and 3%, respectively. Honorable mention: Twitch, popular for streaming video game play, takes up 4.4% of boys’ time but only 2% of girls’. (Business Insider)
