Marketers take note: being nice is going viral. Several ads that tell positive, non-political stories—like Canadian Tire’s video on respecting people with disabilities and Furkids pet adoption center’s kitty-filled ad—have all found viral success recently, bringing in millions of views by invoking an emotional response and spreading the message of being nice. A tense political climate is most likely driving the trend, as people increasingly look towards bipartisan content that will provide an escape, and unify instead of divide. We predicted the desire for “nice” content in our 2014 Play Nice trend. (Adweek)
