Millennials are staying put. A new analysis of Pew data has found only 20% of 25-35-year-olds reported living at a different address the previous year. When Gen Xers and the Silent Generation were the same age the percentage was 26%, putting Millennials at the lowest level of “young adult mobility in half a century.” Student debt and financial limitations are most likely the biggest factors at play, but with the National Bureau of Economic Research reporting that the overall rate of Americans moving between states has fallen by half since the early 1990s, it may also have to do with the “times we live in.” (NYMag)
