Facebook has officially launched their own stories feature (also known as a “Snapchat clone”). Facebook Stories, which resembles Instagram Stories and is separate from Facebook Messenger’s new update, can now be found “front and center” at the top of the platform’s app along with Facebook Camera and Facebook Direct, where messages can be exchanged using the in-app camera. Just like Snapchat Lenses, “masks” and other animated effects can be added to images, and plans for Despicable Me 3, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and Wonder Woman animated masks are in place.
