International Women’s Day is bringing the gender pay gap into the spotlight, and new research is revealing how to close it. According to Accenture, “the women of the class of 2020 could be the first generation to close the gender pay gap in their professional lifetimes,” as long as they reach equality with men in utilizing digital skills, and immersing themselves in new technology. The global survey also found that female undergraduates need to aim higher: currently, 27% have chosen an area of study that offers high salaries, compared to 40% of their male counterparts, and 41% aspire to senior leadership positions, compared to 51% of males.
