Twitch is getting into the market of video game selling. The platform, which “dominates video game streaming,” has announced a new service that will allow users to purchase games from well-known publishers like Ubisoft and Paradox Interactive, and indie studios like tinyBuild, from streamers’ channels. While 70% of sales will go to the publisher, partnered streamers will receive a 5% cut of sales originating from their channel—a move that will turn Twitch “into even more of a retail force.” The new purchase options will reportedly go live in the Spring.
