Good news for the auto industry: Older Millennials and young Xers reportedly like new cars, and they don’t plan to keep them for long. A new AutoList.com survey revealed that 25-39-year-olds prefer new cars that are smaller and cheaper—like a Honda Civic—and consider environmental impacts when purchasing. The survey also found that while a third of 40-54-year-olds say they plan to keep their cars for 10 years or more, nearly half of Millennials say they will keep their car for five years or less.
