Barbie’s image makeover is continuing with a spot that calls on dads to empower their daughters. Based on the research that strong father-daughter relationships lead to self-confidence and self-reliance in young girls, the “Dads Who Play Barbie” campaign features six real dads and their daughters playing with the iconic dolls in ‘unscripted’ moments. In one spot that aired during the NFL playoffs, a father calls himself a “typical man's man” but says he still plays with his daughter even when it interrupts watching football on Sundays. (Adweek)
