When it comes to communicating with brands, Millennials prefer texting. The insight comes from a new OpenMarket survey, which found 48% would prefer to receive reminders or alerts from financial institutions on their mobile screen over email, phone, or social media, and 80% are waiting for the day they can text a brand’s 1-800 number instead of calling. Currently 20% don’t receive text messages from businesses at all, and 60% receive five or less each week—but chatbots could accelerate consumer/brand texting. (Chief Marketer)
