Instagram has joined in on one of the biggest trends in social media: live streaming. Users in “select markets” can now go live for up to an hour through the platform by clicking on the new “Start Live Video” icon. Similar to Facebook Live, users will be notified when their friends have gone live, but unlike their parent platform, broadcasts will disappear once the streaming has ended.
