Will the next generation of girls finally change the tech industry’s gender imbalance? Despite being more than capable, females have mostly chosen not to pursue science and computing because of “negative stereotypes regarding [their] abilities” that make them not interested, or not aware that it could be a career path. As a response, many in the tech industry have started initiatives to inspire the next generation of females pursuing higher education and entering the workforce.
