Refinery29’s annual reader survey found that women are feeling more positive about their bodies.

Refinery29’s annual reader survey found that women are feeling more positive about their bodies. More than half of 18-54-year-olds feel mostly happy with their bodies, with only 12% saying they are not at all happy. Getting fit is on the rise (as we’ve reported) but most women aren’t doing it to lose weight: 86% say they work out to support general health, followed by 74% who say it was to get toned. And although they take beach selfies to update their friends and gym selfies to stay motivated, 44% say seeing other people’s gym selfies made them feel guilty, and 42% reported feeling bad about their bodies when they look at beach photos.
