For teens, privacy is not priceless. A recent study in the U.K. found that teenagers fully understand the value of personal information to create a better service or deal, and are willing to sell it for a small fee: 42% of 13-17-year-olds would rather sell private information about themselves for about $20 than earn the cash with a job. The data also revealed teens’ rising interest in STEM and figuring out the ins and outs of the web: 43% are already coding or would like to learn, and 7% have tried hacking themselves, mostly because they were curious. Researchers point out the importance of harnessing those skills for good. (Network World)
