Teens are living a double life—on social media. At the recent Business Insider’s Ignition Conference, teens revealed that having one Instagram is not enough. To the hundreds of followers on their main Instagram pages, teens present a polished look of filtered selfies, or carefully manipulated meals to acquire as many likes as possible. On a “Finsta” (fake Instagram account) teens only accept their closest friends and post funny or embarrassing photos for the enjoyment of their few followers. As one teen put it, “What we put to our close friends is so different than what we show the entire world.” (Business Insider)
