MacMillan Children’s Publishing says it’s the first company to ever create emojis based on a book—now known as bookmojis. The company has introduced an emoji app for the popular YA series The Lunar Chronicles, featuring emoji stickers of the books’ characters, quotes, and scenes. Author Marrisa Meyer notes, “The wonderful thing about fandoms in this day and age is that fans are able to interact with the story in a million different ways.” (Mashable)
