Like it or not, sexting has become somewhat of a norm in the flirtation and relationship rituals of the next generation, but the laws around sexting don’t necessarily see it that way. Recently, two teens in North Carolina, both 16-years-old, were arrested when police discovered explicit text messages exchanged mutually between them. Both teens were charged with sexual exploitation of a minor, but some states “have adapted their laws to protect minors from being labeled sex offenders for sexting.” (Gizmodo)
