Millennials and teens like Walmart more than their parents do. Recent research by the retailer found that Walmart “indexes higher” among those under 24-years-old and those 25-34-years-old than it does with Xers and Boomers. Surprised? It’s actually not too shocking. Young consumers grew up during the recession when lower-priced retailers became go-tos, and are also the first generation to grow up with Walmart as a dominant brand. According to the retailer, “It could be their Baby Boomer parents dragged them to Walmart so much it feels a bit like home.” (AdAge)
