YouTube could be coming to the big screen. The platform has recently made a deal with AwesomenessTV that will result in several full-length feature films starring some of their biggest digital stars. The movies will premiere on YouTube before potentially hitting theaters or other distributors. Other YouTube celebs are receiving funding to create their own original series, including scripted comedy and a murder-mystery reality show. YouTube is working to keep top talent and content creators on the site as online video competition mounts. (AdAge, Variety)
