Millennials now make up two-thirds of the vital 18-49-year-old TV viewing audience, and USA Network is making changes to attract the generation, and appeal to their values of “confidence, perseverance, self-reliance, optimism, [and] bravery.” Reality and short comedy shows are being added to their lineup, and dramas that center on unconventional heroes are an important new focus. The hope is that these “edgy” series, which include a hacker drama and a medical thriller, will appeal to those with a “Millennial mindset.” (Los Angeles Times)
